Just drop the ramp on the low plant trailer and pull or winch it on or if machines on site just lift off easy as that. The belles with rubber / air tyres so much easier than the metal wheeled old ones

It's not the same as sticking a drawbar in and off you go though! Pain in the arse to winch on, secure properly (especially the dolly) etc. Not for me.

It's just a different chassis, but what a difference to usablity. LIke I said, the dolly design is over half a century old. Another example of the UK being stuck in the past. Over in Europe they all seem to be the same kind of design as mine.

I have done a few oil tank bases for a plumber, I work alone & usually use a belle mini mix . I have tried other ways but it is such a faff that I find it easier that way. I did collect a mix from the supplier once but as been said you get separation. The supplier is usually in full swing mixing for something else when I get there so there is always a delay getting loaded.Then I have to dispose of any surplus and be able to wash the trailer out which is never easy.
Yes it is annoying that ready mixed is cheaper than buying agg & cement but if I mix it with the belle I can stay on site afterwards for other jobs.

Wonder what the equivalent Belle costs? They do a similar skip fed one.

@Stroppymonkey - what did you end up with in the end?

Still doing it with mini mix , either mixing off the side of the little tipper, or often hand balling bags into back garden then mixing where the slab is. If we were doing it full time then a trailer set out with materials and water a bit would be better, but we don’t. Got a biggish (for us) slab (about a cube) to do soon and I see that there is now a volumetric mixer in North Devon so might try that..

In fairness if I need 1m3 they do me the full load rate when I collect it!! Usually it is for some edgings or a manhole base so it works for me!!

Shan’t bother with that either then! Think Faheys are quite local so might be able to just get a cube delivered .

I was asked for just the job for your trailer the other day! Collecting heavy picnic tables and delivering them to sites! Sadly not £15ks worth of work though!
