Aye. Did that a few times. Then realised it was ott.

I’m surviving with the cutting torch btw. I hold it up on the silverware rather than the brass section. Balances fine. Not unduly heavy for the short stints I’m working with it.

Bought the eBay one. Regulators are OK at best. Propane tap on the torch is very annoying when you only have it cracked open a bit. You bump your clothes against it and it shuts. Could probably add a rubber band to bodge it but usually get it mostly dialled at the bottle regulator. So not great quality but I’m happily bending stuff for not much money. Not much money on that anyway. Oxygen was fearsomely expensive to take home for the first time and 13kg of propane was £54.09 swapping an empty. The last two times I’ve bought it it’s been about £35 and £42 for 17kg or 19kg.

P.S. I usually turn the regulators AND the bottles off when I’m finished. Left the regulators tonight because I liked the settings. Is the garage going to be there tomorrow?
try taking the knob off and pinching the spindle nut up a little on the tap spindle ;)
