I could build an entire steel frame, for what I'd like TBH, for less than that bit of tin :( soooooooooooome profit in them
BUT you have time, they are a cheap watertight building that can be put up in an hour even where little access is available. I've got a 3m 1 and it's good way better than a shed plus I'd have had to crane a normal 1 in.
Not many buildings available like that. I'd like a proper side door container but they are expensive

Collecting a 30L bottle of oxygen from an SGS dealer tomorrow. Fairly sure the last time I looked into this, the bottle deposit was £50-60. Anybody care to guess what I was quoted today?
£135 plus vat

My local SGS place is a pretty well organised motor factor. Use them for car bits already. Would have probably used them anyway. The Hobbyweld bloke wanted me to wait while he got a few more orders together first. Not as convenient.

You could try Hobbyweld instead. I found that often one was cheaper than the other and then vice versa for a differnt product.
Seems to think I saw something about Hobbyweld not filling new oxy orders or something ..🤔

I use SGS as the local motor factors has them, and they just deliver out to me and pick up the empty which is super convenient.

Right. First job. Bend some 12mm round. Maybe cut it because I can. I have 1/32 and 3/32 nozzles in a cutting torch. Where do I look up the nozzle size and fuel/oxy pressures for a given job?

This is the thread that helped me a lot.

This is also in my history: https://www.millerwelds.com/files/owners-manuals/O271257A_MIL.pdf

35-40 psi oxy, 8-12 psi fuel gas'd be my settings ... 1/32" should piss through 12mm and give a neat cut

Bought the eBay one. Regulators are OK at best. Propane tap on the torch is very annoying when you only have it cracked open a bit. You bump your clothes against it and it shuts. Could probably add a rubber band to bodge it but usually get it mostly dialled at the bottle regulator. So not great quality but I’m happily bending stuff for not much money. Not much money on that anyway. Oxygen was fearsomely expensive to take home for the first time and 13kg of propane was £54.09 swapping an empty. The last two times I’ve bought it it’s been about £35 and £42 for 17kg or 19kg.

P.S. I usually turn the regulators AND the bottles off when I’m finished. Left the regulators tonight because I liked the settings. Is the garage going to be there tomorrow?

I never turn my regulators off only the bottles.

If you’re worried about leaving gas in the lines just open the torch knobs to bleed it off after you shut the bottles off. The regulators will go back to the set pressure once you open the bottles again.
