Looks like a pair of cylinders, yet only one is bent (somehow 'bent' seems inadequate).

Looking at it again, I’m not sure it’s an 11, unless the bloke in orange is 8’ tall. I think it’s probably an 8. Fuel tank shape is wrong for the bigger machines's a wonder those ripper rams didn't snap with that amount of pull on them

there are some pretty amazing 'fails' out there in circulation Stu -- have seen that one before ... the two where the two hundred tonners take a bath in the dock's a good un, if you can find it.
25-ish years ago GWS were lifting an anvil block out of IEP Doncasters - Forgemasters in Blaenavon - indoors ...
anvil was in the region of a 100 ton lump ... summat gave when they had it about 3ft off the deck...
the 'thudd' was heard all over Blaenavon ...
the 120t hook block went vertical, through the roof and due to being restrained by what it was attached to - came almost straight back down, but the other side of a purlin and wrapped itself another rotation before running out of momentum on the second attempt ....
apparently it took some getting back to earth -- building was in the region of 70-80 ft tall (to accommodate the old drop hammer it'd been built around)
Got some pix somewhere of my TMS 300 Grove erecting a building along side it at a later date - they were big buildings ...
regularly used to get in them with an 18 or a 25 or a 30 and have had my 45 in them a couple of times installing/removing kit ..
did a lot for them
was a fascinating place to get into and the maintenance manager was an ex-pupil, who I'd always gotten on well with so was always an enjoyable day/weekend/week ...
sadly went to his funeral about ten years ago - had a seizure in his sleep - no history and his wife didn't even know, 'til the morning ...
was a real nice lad.
