My memory says five two foot wear strips mounted on sprung bolts on a ten foot blade, no rubber back then (35 years ago🧐)

We used to get a fifteen mile stretch of trunk road with a known pinch point at each end to keep us on the move. The Muir Hill with its heavy front end weight bias added to by the weight of the plough was fun to drive. It would easily turn in its own length and with a tow chain attached to where the top link fitted could drag lorries up hills, happy days 🥰

More to it than that, they are trying to work off the back of a beaver tale 8 wheeler parked on sidewalk (big duck) to dig a front garden up.

Look where grass and lamppost are it’s never been driven up the ramps. No chains though and city pads!

The comments suggest that he wasnt ment to be anywhere near "next doors lawn" and only stuck his bucket into the lawn to save the machine from falling off the wagon

Still an idiot. Should leave diagonal chains and binders on so it can't get any worse. Put the boom out and a pole on the binder you could probably pull it back on.

when the tish got to that depth i'd have been looking for a.n.other truck parked tight alongside ... might've had a reasonable chance of saving the day then

Like you say chain it on, and move the wagon to somewhere more sensible to offload, rubbers on the machine means it could be offloaded anywhere 🤔

insufficient wind bracings ....... and did you see the tiny footings / pads, just peel out the ground ... 10-12" thick 'praps

I reckon it's more likely that they just haven't installed the bracing. The amount of those buildings about I can't see that being the only one to flat pack if installed correctly.

Seen it a while ago elsewhere and i don't think they had any bracing installed at all 🤦‍♂️

footings were a third of what they should be for that size of steel work though ... like bolting it down to paving slabs effectively ..... also the top eaves beams above the single bracings, that had been installed, weren't connected, so no triangulation whatsoever ...... you fully build the end, braced bay completely FIRST -- that then braces the rest of the structure ... they obviously hadn't and couldn't make the eaves connections, 'cos the rest of it needed pulling back over into line to get the holes
inevitable .. erectors fault - end of

Yes it makes me wonder if they have built it back to front and saved the braced bay until last.
Or I put one up that had the braced bay in the middle. Awkward to put up working out from the middle.

I've always wondered what the load limit was for the tailgate on the Dmax. I had 400kg and myself (100kg) on it the other day loading the tracked carrier with the ramp. No problem! Today one of my ex employees who's returned for a bit of subby work found the limit. Less than 900kg!
We had a dumpy of 803 in the back that was so frozen the micro wouldn't break it up, so tried to pull it out the back over the tailgate. I now need a new tailgate as it basically folded downwards after the bracing bar. I rushed off and ordered one off ebay.. and now just remembered that father has a brand new one somewhere that came off his when he had a full top hinge door fitted to his at the dealers. Fuckit. Might have a spare now.

https://www.tiktok.com/video/7175939374805208322 Volvo on an aerial journey under an autonomous crane
There are very few photos and videos available from the event. One of them is the Tiktok video above.

An unusual incident occurred on 11 December in the Hadarom container terminal in the port of Ashdod in Israel, when a Volvo tractor unit was lifted into the air with a container and semi-trailer.

The Hadarom terminal has autonomous cranes. The construction of these was completed at the end of 2021, with full operation from 2022.

The driver of the Volvo had not disconnected the container from the semi-trailer, and thus the autonomous crane also lifted the truck when it grabbed the container, without noticing the problem.

Fortunately, all parts remained in place during the entire flight, and after a manual override of the system, the tractor semi and container were lowered back to the ground.
