Thought the same....they are all about recycling/green stuff when it suits them...how many small business or charities could have benefited from a donation of those or even just auctioned in other states for some funding. So wasteful.

totally agree .... think the concern is that the villains'd simply steal them back and also see it as a 'punishment' to know they're crushed .. opportunity for fund raising missed though (y):(

It's not all swing up legs it's only hydraulic operated ones that swing across the manual controls.
After an operator got crushed packing them away.
And tbf when some of them are worn they are lethal they get stuck up and if you forget to put tension on them before wiggling them loose they come round at a hell of a rate

I think technically unless they are actually properly loose when you try them the only proper way to check is to loosen and then re-torque otherwise as you say you may only be checking to see if the nuts are stuck on the thread.

certainly looks that way ... all pretty equal wear depth .... must've felt that earlier though, surely :unsure::rolleyes::oops:

not sure whether he was loading or unloading summat at Barnsey's yard, but an open m/c ... went over, tried to jump clear and ROPS had him :( ... 's all I've heard so far .. RIP
