This sort of thing comes under my general job role, which seems to cover every bloody problem no-one else wants to deal with. But If I was farming myself out to a third party there’d be no itemised bill, just ”pay for the job or the next one’s someone else’s problem.“ I wouldn’t even want to put a time on that one, if you could get an all-round view of the machine it’s probably in bigger dodo-doos than it looks at first sight.

yeh have had a few of those too ... one was a 6hr drive (each way) to sort out total incompetence of an erection team that couldn't have built a lego house ...
95 mins on site (25 of which was a total bollox induction)
" you clear the building NOW . it's not safe ... we'll get it sorted, but not working in there with anyone else milling about "
4 page report and a LARGE bill ...
amazed it hadn't collapsed -- 5 storey timber frame hotel on a steel frame ground floor structure with 90% of the bolts missing and what was in were all loose ...
unfknbelievable :oops::oops:
sledge, carrot wedges, and a whizzer ....
sorted
That is the sort of job that you spend a couple hours loading up all of the kit that experience has told you you'll need, doing the job in a professional manner, packing it all away and then waiting for the inevitable request for "an itemised bill" , because the disaster they thought it was can't have been that bad because it only took you four hours 😡

f**k, don’t I know that feeling….

that went south pretty quick :( ... hell of a horizontal press ..... would've expected that to auto shutdown on a hose burst :unsure:....... not feed the fire with copious vaporised hydraulic :oops::oops:
With high pressure/flow comes high temp also, can be easy to set alight. The guy initially run away from it then run back to hit the E/stop
