been looking for a suitably manly clamp like that for a while ..... to adapt, since seeing one of them somewhere ...... bought one, but just not strong enough, so still looking .... half the price of the tongs who's name I can't recall ..... but a tenth of the quality ...

Would it not be better built up from something more like a g clamp there's not exactly a lot of travel involved and I can't see a quick clamp providing enough force

You’d be surprised what force them Irwin clamps get up too, wouldn’t wanna test it on the back of your hand that’s for sure!

Axminster do clamps like that but made of metal. I've got two and they are lasting well so far.

put up a link a while back for a decent priced supplier for these ... just 'fore last march's lockdown IIRC and some one here had some .... was gonna order a set and all the sh1t hit the fan so left it as the world stopped turning, for a while

Anyone get any further with these? I could really do with something, my machine is 50/50 to wether it will release pressure, so you need to crack off the hammer line, however it occasionally blows out the oring on the fittings witch is a pain! Same on the Engcon grab, I can rarely get that to drop pressure out of it!

I could really do with something, my machine is 50/50 to wether it will release pressure, so you need to crack off the hammer line, however it occasionally blows out the oring on the fittings witch is a pain! Same on the Engcon grab, I can rarely get that to drop pressure out of it!

@CPS had a quick release block (similar as fitted to Avants) that you could plumb in to replace the flat face fittings on your machine - it joins multiple services together at the same time with a cammed lever. It would be good for regularly mounting/removing a tilty, but would need several setups fixed to your various attachments to really make the most of it (which I’d imagine would be expensive!).

Sure they used to have one in Sheffield, definitely one in wirksworth & Somercotes , but it seems they have been acquired by a big group now and gone/renamed!

Yes, the Multi-X connector. Brilliant job, disconnect in seconds. Yes you would need one for everything you have, or you can connect Q/Rs to one to use with you less common attachments.

We also use these Q/Rs with build in pressure eliminator. Seem to be a great job also.
