at least it's not bloody 'lectric ... told the bloke in the showroom when I bought the Sportage - bang a V8 in an EV6 and I'll take one

Heard a rumor that Ford and VW have done a deal with VW supplying the small vans to Ford and Ford supplying the Ranger to VW to sell as their own. ...............................................................................

Yup. My amarok has plenty of fomoco parts on display. So far so good 12 months in TBF

My yard is full of new ranger/amaroks and the rest of the vw ford things. All the same bar the badges. They had a massive clear out of the vw transporters last few days....probably in preparation of the new ford transporter.

assume they're renting storage space from you ?
used to do the same for the Renault garage across the road from my yard .. usually had 80-100 new Renaults parked jammed in my yard end of June - July, for the new reg.s on first of August .. even paid for overnight security - 6pm 'til 8am - keep the tow rags out
was a right good earner

TBF so far I'm happy about paying a few quid more for the amarok. A mate bought the ranger and his experience at the ford dealers has been a damn site worse than mine at local vancentre.

Not from me but from my landlord.

100 spaces and they are full and constantly in and out with new stuff

On the Toyota front, we should have had the facelift Hilux by now, was speaking to my local dealer in August and they said shortly.. something must be amis with them? It’s Been a good 6+ months that you haven’t been able to buy a new Hilux!

Ahem....the word on the street ...from someone with a fleet of them...when the first batch of the hybrid arrived they realised it was over the weights...

Makes sense, knew there was a problem somewhere along the line!
My Hilux replacement has been ordered anyway..shall see what turns up next year

Amarok probably works out better cost wise with the servicing and longer warranty included

see they also have a baby EV9 in the EV3 --- looks about the same size as the Sportage

Ugly as sin but my wife can't stop talking about the boot size.
I wouldn't mind a new sorento but Kia seems to have given up on straight combustion engine propulsion.

that's bad news ... were one of the few that could actually supply a straight ICE-ed vehicle when I bought that Sportage - one of the reasons I went for it - no leccy crap .... still averaging 38mpg on mostly local / school runs over 8K+ miles now - can't fault it (and it's a nice drive [apart from having to turn all the tish off, whenever you get in] )
