Must be getting the oil way too hot if its done that too tank.
Yes the problem is there is no fan on the oil cooler now (the engine fan used to cool the water and oil) but now it has an air cooled deutz, it sucks air into the engine over the head one out past the exhaust and the heat makes it’s way the the oil ‘cooler’ making the oil very hot ‘still a work in progress and not on the front line “yet” got an other oil oil cooler for it a lot bigger with a electric fan fitted that I’ll fit in a better location (away from the heat) plus I need to make a cowling so it draws air from outside the engine bay
it’s only been scratching about on my mates farm but will be coming home for a bit of maintenance next week👍

So you've turned the oil cooler into an oil warmer 🤣🤣🤣

Well in true mogman stile🤔 need to notch a few scaffold tubes to make a hand rail for the mezzanine floor in the shed, so came up with this

a shitty little nutool pillar drill that I pulled out of the scrap made a ‘new’ stand for it so I can lay it on its back to do angle cuts

and there you have it, a tube notcher

do it as well as you can,but learn to do it better
flatten the tube ends and cut to a suitable angle under H/rail - handrail is one continuous length, every thing else under it ... quick and easy - looks fine - same with intermediate infill rail (s) to upright joint
yours will look very 'organic' and smooth/cool ... but is a lot of fannying to achieve
other answer is a tube notcher ..... at a price https://selmach.com/product/almi-al100u-abrasive-tube-notching-machine-415v/

nice idea though Paul

good luck with that Mog .... they DO NOT like rust .... and cutting varying thicknesses will see off the consumables pretty quickly .. using more current than necessary eats 'em :(
interesting job Boyo and a difficult challenge with all the b/heads, ribs, etc. (y)

Mog,
I’ll be interested to hear how you get on with the plasma. I know a lot of demo companies and they all use oxy propane if the steel is too thick or not practical to shear.
The only time I see plasma being used is for stainless or Ali.
In the workshop however it’s a whole different story. Are you sure you are not using this job to justify to Mrs Mog that you need a new toy😀😀😀
