We got two 40 yard skips in full of ‘empty’ cylinders but they stink and that powdery stuff burns a treat👍

Well after the disaster of the log splitter I built that to be fair wasn’t fat enough to actually split the wood (well roots) I needed something else to weld the cone part to and utilise the motor for so converted it to this
AACBF4CC-B215-4FF8-B09E-C67784BD0D80.jpeg

a auger 1.6m long which I welded some re-bar to the leading flights to give a bit of clearance and the cone on the tip

it wasn’t successful at first as I snapped it off by the motor on the first hole😳 but as we had my welder on site wasnt a big job to stick it back on with a few plates to reinforce it 👍
it seems to be doing a fair job drilling 1.4m into sand stone ground

Yes the cone from the splitter (had to use it somewhere else would of been a waste) the re-bar is to make the auger a bit bigger plus it acts as a wear strip👍

This is a job I did yesterday
F0781AF1-362D-4A15-A5A2-E23BFCA7D8A9.jpeg

these came from Poland two boxes 3m x7m about 2.5 tonnes each, had to lift them off and put them on a set of wheels I’d made, then wheel them under a set of cables that were only 13’ high
E817F6F3-63A4-4039-9857-B732229682C2.jpeg

then had to lower the other one next to it
