No the DAF will be going
is a great truck but need a bigger crane this ‘new’ one will lift a 20’ container at 16 meters and should pick up a 40’ box and drop on my trailer

Seems like only yesterday you upgraded to the Daf. Guess you can’t have too big a crane. Saw one the other day with the 5th wheel bed set up like you do with a massive Cormach crane and thought of you.

Been busy but managed to pulled the wrap off
Not too bad underneath so just preparing it for a subframe shot blast and re paint, took all day to get the ‘sliding’ fifth wheel to move so I could slide it off,

That mooring bollard is a 100mm ball hitch to move trommals on site
As for 5th wheels
The semi trailer imposes a fifth of its weight onto the unit

can't see it Mog ..... depends entirely where the axles are ..... with a single axle at the rear it would be half ..... with a twin axle at the rear it would be damned near half..... with the axles further up the bed it would be commensurate with the fulcrum position of the load point and that's all for empty trailers .... loaded is a whole other kettle of fish
