do it as well as you can,but learn to do it better
Now now it’s not concreteπŸ˜‰
it’s small square steel plates and old ships rivets all rusted together with a skim of cement on topπŸ‘ Horrible stuff but weightyπŸ’ͺπŸ’ͺ
think it was called trimmings Mog ... the slugs from my punch/crop/shear had a much better value than basic scrap ... kept 'em in bins 'til I had a couple of tonnes ... boat builders love 'em - iron gravel (y)

Saw that the other nightπŸ‘
I love them guysπŸ₯° bit like Mrs Mog can make something out of nothing πŸ˜³πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚
love watching team flip flop creating .... they're so very clever at what they get up to, with next to no tech (y):cool::cool:
those mechanical brake presses they're using are all but banned in the uk ... my first was a 10ft x 60t Bronx .. once you press the go pedal you're committed 'til it does it's full cycle .. no backing off or stopping it like a hydraulic ... replaced it with 160t Scottish Machine Tools hydraulic 12 footer, which eventually gave way to my 320t x 12ft Bronx

Yesterday’s shenanigans was to fit a roller shutter door in the side of a 20’ shipping container so I could set up my profile table I forget to take pictures while I’m (in the zone)
anyway this door came from a scrap job I did on Monday, 3 phase 11’ wide so plasma cut a hole in the side of me box (that also came from a scrap jobπŸ‘)

looks like it was made for the jobπŸ˜‚

the box even had the electrics in, lights fitted and socketsπŸ‘ just had to give it a 3 phase supply

E95D3E77-5BDC-4368-91FF-88A4A6F53E6B.jpeg

then the hammer itself, about 3 tonπŸ’ͺ
03D25B7B-94CA-40C7-AAE7-8F887C352EEF.jpeg

but had to be lifted in to the shed through the roof as only a little door and had to go on a concrete plinth 8’x4’ and 4’ thick

They make some nice stuff - a customer of mine had a support post for their porch done and it’s a lovely thing that looks like a grape vine dine out of T-washed galv wrought iron. I can’t find any pics of it on their site but it’s along the lines of this sculpture they made

off loaded a bigger one o' they at an architetcural iron workers forge, 'tother side of Brecon, late 80,s ... was about 10 ft tall .. right beast and they skated it in from the door way ....... then picked up these from under a tarpaulin, led on some sleepers in the field beside their driveway ... they were restoring them

just the middle two ....
first Q when they uncovered 'em was "I presume you have adequate insurance cover for this? .... 'cos I sure as **** don't "
valued at over Β£500k each -- then ... IIRC were about 3t each

think this is they .... https://fineiron.co.uk/about_architectural_ironworkers/
