That tilt hitch is incredibly neat, but I have to say, it just wouldn't be enough tilt angle for me having gotten used to a Powertilt.
Suppose it’s what you get used to. What angle do the power tilts go up to??

The mini ones go all the way to 90 degrees.

Those tilt hitches look like you could dig level from most positions the machine might end up in, but you’d struggle to pull a batter from the side.

Still miles better than a normal quick hitch however.

Yeh so did I, different way of doing it, they also had, barn doors on the back and a standard tipping tail gate, all in one.

This was another, barn door/standard tail gate set up, the chains on the back are to hold it in position when doing roads and paths, giving a uniformed spread of stone for the grader

so bloody annoying you cant tug a trailer with a 16+ton duck on the road, would be infinitely safer than a 3.5ton pickup dragging a 4 ton load which is what normally happens.

Just shows the politicians dont give a toss about those who get their feet dirty for a living...

It is, and as far as I know, they have done a demonstration in front of the powers that be, with all types of possibilities of towing in front of them to prove the point. Common sense says 10 ton plus duck, will stop 3.5/4ton load better than 3.5 ton pick up, also, the duck is traveling at a lot slower speed, so will stop in a shorter distance.

I totally agree with what everyone is saying, But. Although everyone on here keeps their gear in good nick, without some form of mot or loler can you imagine some of the ruff ass crap some people will be dragging about the highways. The agri guys are bad enough.

Something a bit different at the show, these gabbion baskets get made a factory and are filled by a machine, they are put on a rig and as the stone is put in, is shakes the basket to consolidate the stone and make it rigid, the smart thing with them is the lifting eyes which are built into them. The basket in the pic weighs 3.2 ton and spent the whole show hanging there with no sag. The outside mesh was 4mm, there was 6mm inside and 8 mm on the bottom. And you only have to tie the outside of the baskets, when building them up. The last 2 pics are from the entrance to Volvo trucks.

One extreme to the other. Plant people leaving gear lying around with no worries then Volvo having a wall made of those gabions that would stop anything, topped with an electrified fence.

Your looking at about £135k for it
Don’t think I’ll be buying one this week, but I could do do with a cheap way to regrade unmadeup roads. Lots of places we go have miles of tracks in shockingly poor condition because it costs too much to maintain them.

It’s a retaining wall Gra, the industrial site is on quite a slope so a quick way to bring up the levels....it seemed everything that was finished off and “open” was very secure, but in the building up of it, it’s all left open.

All depends how much work you have for one, the contractor who owned it, had a few of them and was flat out with them. The hourly rate works out if you can get the work for it. Sure they’ll be some second hand ones around......This came past me last year.
