That might be true but i don't think new stuff will drop much and tbh it'll probably be the nearly new kit which people are trying to sell for more than new which will take the hit most.

They’ve gone up in price but list price is meaningless unless you want one immediately.

Priced up one yesterday to my spec and it was over 6k cheaper than the same spec transit. September delivery

You might find some deals on stuff in stock but will they be that good? Reality is a new van is only silly dear to somebody with no van, if you have a second hand van it's worth silly money anyway so the difference isn't probably much bigger than it was. Unless the sh*t really hits the fan and then we won't even be able to afford the bargains.

I’m still looking most days for a decent second hand tipper, under 3 years old “tidy” and less than 50k miles (I know
rocking horse poo but I’m patient)
It seems some prices are softening a touch but in reality it’s still way overpriced and there’s some offering tranny crew cab tippers in a colour other than white for £45k plus which is just insane. I do love the look of the MAN stuff but tippers are rare and to new.
Having a glance at panel vans that are euro5 not 6 and there’s some decent prices. Not pre COVID prices but ok in this strange new world

We have 2 of the 180 versions.
My 2020 had a new egr cooler at 80k this is a common issue, also had the glow plug relay replaced, passnager window regulator also replaced.
2022 van so far has had nothing other than a couple of services.
If you can keep with man for services. A oil service is £125 + vat which I think is very good value

Gus, other benefit down here is MAN is open 24 hr which is very handy drop van off one night collect in morning.

Yes that's very useful, had my ranger serviced last week and it's right pain. Ford dealer i use are open 7.30- 6 which isn't tok bad, but doesn't help if you're working an hour and a half away round the M25

They do look so much smarter than the tranny equivalent. I’d love one.
Ive laid out all my essential daily tools and it’s going to need more than a van vault on the back so I’m now having to look for a crew that I’ll take the seats out or one with a box behind which adds to the difficulty of the search
Maybe thats the problem of running a van for so long, your list of essential stuff becomes much longer!
