I seem to remember there’s a few Man TGE owners on here. I’m half thinking of upsizing from a T5 transporter and came across this one. Mwb low roof 180bhp auto. The 180 wouldn’t have been my first choice but there isn’t many low roof ones around. Any known issues to look for?

That will be nice to drive... obvious point but might be worth having a quick look on any crafter forums for issues?
Possibly resale might be lower on low roof?

You have to beat women off with a stick if you go for the 180bhp, they instantly know you are a real man…
(It might be a bit too much for you if you are currently spending your time in a transvestite).

Manchester I believe. Hoping to go and have a look tomorrow. Resale value of low roof isn’t really a problem as I’ll be keeping for a few years if i go for it. I guess single turbo wouldn’t concern me but bi-turbo just increases the potential for problems.

Has it got the isri comfort seat If so buy it And check if it's got A/C they don't come as standard...ask me how I know

Not got one but if I was to get a panel van it would be a toss up between full sized transit and the tge.
There's a local haulage/van rental company that have a few and recently sold some off, all north of 250k on the clock and speaking to one of the mechanics not alot went wrong with them

Heated screens are the holy grail...talked about in hushed tones and appreciative nods in this weather...I've known folk not buy a decent vehicle due to lack of ..

Don’t know about the seat but got aircon, apple CarPlay, reversing camera. Love the heated screen in my discovery tbh! Only thing I’m doubting with the current economic climate is wether I should be spending best part of £29k, or sit tight and keep running what I’ve got.

That’s a lot of dosh! Is that including vat? How many miles etc?

My iveco to my spec was 36k Inc vat, 19mths later they were 52k

It’s £23,950+ vat. There’s very few low roof ones for sale, one of which is brand new at 55k

I’d personally sit tight before buying anything expensive at the moment. That’s what I’m doing anyway, I reckon there are deals on the horizon!

Prices may be high at the mo but tbh i don't see new prices coming down that much if at all, second hand may drop a bit. The thing is if new prices drop it will screw the whole market from top to bottom. Ultimately anyone trading up is getting more for what the have anyway.

There will be a load of nearly new kit coming to market cheap in the next few months being sold by bounce-back ‘millionaires’ who got (and spent) £50k on stuff their business couldn’t afford who now have tax bills and no work for their ‘investments’. It’s already happening all over Facebook marketplace under the pretence of ‘change of direction’.
There will be a shitload of bargains in the new year, and new kit either won’t sell or will be sold cheap imo.
