Good morning,

We have a problem at work at the moment.
We have a drain run heading through one of our units at work on a project we have taken over.

Pre handover we have had CCTV surveys completed and their is a 20mm sag in the pipe.

We need to relay 11metres of 225mm at 2metre deep through the unit and we have the width, but only 2m clearance height to get in through the doors.
Was looking to potentially block the unit off and use positive pressure to potentially get the fumes etc out.

What advice does everyone have?
We really need to find something bigger than a ton and a half to become efficient for the job.

Any advice would be most welcome.

Many thanks.

do it as well as you can,but learn to do it better
what headroom have you inside, once into the unit and how big is the unit  ...... I'd be creating an alternate access, if that is your only restriction point ;)

4 metres easily once inside the building.

Just need a 3tonner or so with a flap down roll bar ideally I guess.
Was thinking cab off and cab back on a 5 tonner, No idea how long that might take?

Just wondered if anyone knew somewhere which hires something with a fold down.
There were Brokk conversations but I don't know too much about them and then I think we are getting a bit more specialist than we really need.

nobody really does fold down roll bars on big machines. + you dont see many 3 tonne canopys.

.

Long enough that you might as well grin and bear it with a 1.9t canopy machine! It's only 11m after all.

I was going to suggest Kubota u20/25 if you could find one. What about an import machine like what @JD450A has iirc?

It doesn't say where you are but if in the south east speak to coppards plant hire I don't think I've ever been in a plant yard with such a diverse selection of kit so they may well have something
I know they have allsorts of specialist trenching buckets which might also help

Something like that Ross yes,

The job is in Kings Lynn,
So rather the arse end of nowhere.
Which puts us out of the south east and I believe away from Rory too, I think its Rory (
JD450A )but I could be remembering badly.

Like you say it may well pay to just put up with the one and a half tonner which is probably the route its going to go down.

I dont use plant that often, infact very rarely, But im always working around it somewhere.
