They are good and take some
Beating! I also have some old dormar tapered ones that are pretty good
yeh I have a few of the tapers .... BIG ones .... if you can put a tapered reamer in to get the hole closer to shape, they don't spread the offending item so badly and bite better !! (y)

Cat 352F needing some repair links after somebody replaced all the track pad bolts at Xmas and nicked a few links with the burner causing them to burst! Absolute nightmare, pins wouldn’t press out as the chain was that worn that they have mushroomed the ends of the pins by about 5mm fought me to the end and need to go back and Finnish.

Another track swap this time on Isle of Rassay, Takeuchi TB285, also had a full service, dumper needing exhaust manifold welded and a jcb forklift fault investigation to diagnose the lift pump issue all in time to catch the 1730 ferry and 5 hour drive back to Glasgow

Volvo EC380D, 2013, 1 old school operator from new, 11506 hours, first undercarriage replacement/ repair, that really is a testament to Volvo.

Can’t lie she was a pig, 1 “ air impact gun wouldn’t look at the pad bolts, ended up burning all 400 of them off! A 1 day job turns into 2.
New chains, new sprockets.
Found both recoil springs snapped on strip down.
Also pinged my back moving a track pad and the bigger is brutal trying to put socks on in the morning! Misses moaning I’m going to be a cripple before im 30. The joys of plant

Call out for H.E Services to replace a quick hitch on Komatsu PC138US

New MasterHitch installed.
Very surprised at how light those hitches are.

Horrible to use. Instead of hooking the bucket up towards you you push it away and unless the machine and bucket are dead flat it is difficult to get hold of it. Also the hitch may be light compared to some of the cast ones the buckets are stupidly heavy as that has 100mm solid pins. A top hat pin cradle for my sieves which I initially had to hire from HE was so heavy it toppled the sieve over every time I put it down. Much better now I use Mog specials with hollow pins.

True, but when you come to drop the bucket/attachment off you have to crowd it fully open to get the front tongue to pull back then it swings wildly on the back pin and if it is a big heavy attachment rather than a standard bucket it either swings far enough back to smack the inside of the dipper or gouges a lump out of the ground. Not so bad if dirt, but not so good if tarmac or even nice turf.
I’ve only ever seen them on HE machines and they only have them because the guy who owns HE also owns Masterhitch so I’ve been told. They are better than the previous design which was so bad I stopped hiring from HE because you could not reliably even get their own buckets to fit let alone my attachments.
