Damnation - late to the party. I have been toying with a laser level for a few years. We use little DW088K units for plant rooms (setting out clips and flues etc) and they are great as magnetic so usually something to stick them to in small rooms, or a nail in the wall and stick them to a hanging saw blade. Brilliant and cheap enough for all the lads to have one in their vans. Also good for setting up burner heights on vapourising cookers, although that is a dying trade (thankfully). What I am after next is something to use to set up the following (ideally solo) for the day job and also for my own projects.View attachment 52818View attachment 52819View attachment 52820View attachment 52821View attachment 52822

Laser Levels Online
Checking Oil Tank levels from tank to appliance in gardens.
Checking available fall from bathroom outlets to nearest sewer connections.
Setting concrete fence posts for panel fences.
Setting out level concrete slabs for larger oil tanks.
Setting out bases for small buildings for level and square (so need a 90 degree function) (very seldom)
Digging the odd set of drains to a fall/soakaways.
Leveling gateposts.
Digging out level sites in sloping ground ( usually only upto 3m square, but have a couple of 6x10m projects coming)
I dont see much need a tool that is good for indoor work (green line) as most of what I want to do will be outside with a staff and detector.
Looks like the Fukuda FRE-203XR Laser Kit with upgrade to FRD800R for about £600+ will be the right thing for me?
I am Dewalt fan and have toyed with this https://www.toolstation.com/dewalt-18v-xr-rotary-green-laser/p60632 but by time you buy a decent tripod/staff its almost double the money.
Have spent about 2 hours reading through all the posts and slightly fried my brain.
