Did this job a few months ago, the garden was on a fair slope and pretty much unusable. The customer had started trying to sort it out himself with hand tools but underestimated the task, I took about 7-8 tonnes of soil out 
Got it shaped up and foundations in for the walls.

Decking on the top level, chuckies at the bottom and I turfed the middle level but forgot to take pictures

I hired a breaker to break out the floors in a shop conversion. Was a fair beast of a thing but the wee Doosan handled it no problem. It wouldn’t go onto my quick hitch so the easy option was put another hitch on the breaker and pick that hitch up with mine. It was like a mini long reach.

Glad to see someone else takes the blade extensions off, i only put them on when needed. Otherwise they fill with shite and you can never un retract them. Ive one thats still got em stuck in retracted position and its 4 years old now 
its on my list to sort.

Now they’re off most of the time.I was impressed with the breaker, I was even more impressed with how the digger handled it. When I picked it up the fitter didn’t think it would have the oil flow to power it. I can’t remember the model number but think it was for up to a 3-tonner.

I must admit to doing that too, albeit i was expecting it, i had about 3.5 years of carefulness then on a bad day on a very tight job just getting last bit from a trench i had to stradle and whops.

Mine was just a brain fart moment, cleaning up against the blade and thought I was against a big stone but no it was the blade I was trying to pick up

What do you think of the little Doosan overall.I could do with a micro on my small fleet and a lad that works with me most of the time is keen to buy a machine of his own,I think with the right finance he will do well with it,mostly off the back of my jobs but it will top up his income and give him a sense of accomplishment to have his name on the boom.He likes the look of Doosan/bobcat as the servo set up looks close to a 1:5 tonner.

I like it, it definitely punches above its weight, it has good digging power for its size, I would say it’s comparable to an older 1.5 tonner. The controls are smooth, I find a lot of the micros I’ve used can be quite jerky but this is quite easy to grade with. The only thing I can fault is the load over height but it can still load a 1-tonne dumper if it’s positioned right, the dumper drivers just need some training
Doosan are also doing some great deals on finance, I think they’re still offering 5 years 0%.

Sounds good,must admit I have’nt Used many in the last few years,I have tended to walk away from jobs that I can’t get my 1.8 into.But it would bring in quite a bit of work in reality .I think he will have to wait until the end of the year as 3 day weeks are all I can give him at the minute due to the craziness that we are dealing with.5 years 0% would make it a very safe investment to start out with especially as he can use my trailers,muck truck etc.

Did a bit of decking last summer, first time using the composite stuff so enlisted the help of a decent joiner. There wasn't much more to it than normal wood but the price of the boards scared me a bit, £46.50+vat for a 3.6m length
