I bet you could overcome the immobilizer within a morning, probably within an hour.
It's only going to be inline as no electrics on the engine

I believe Kubota will come out and reprogram keys/the machine with proof of ownership, but it is not cheap (if you want to keep it immobilised).

keys will be there somewhere ,man cave under the mat etc

You will need to prove a lot to them (kubota) and need a new dash. It’s about £1200 plus vat

A mate of mine needed a letter from the previous keeper, as well as purchase invoice etc!

Oh yes
just need to get it bought very cheap
It has done very little work looks like new and I already have the full set of buckets for it that came from the same place
Just need a bit of time too

It’s not that easy to remove as it’s part of the machine. It can be done but it’s not like it’s just a little box somewhere with some wires to starter motor and fuel pump

it's only a digger FFS .. has an engine requiring X number of inputs, with Y number of outputs ... a hydraulic system with limited capacity to be immobilised, etc. ... bloke like Mog could completely rewire it in six hours ... get it bought with all that in mind Mog

Depends if it’s a keeper or to sell on - would be worth a lot more if all original with a proper working dash etc imo.

Didn't you remove the immobilizer on your little jcb? Or was that someone else.
I agree an ECu that machine would be completely stand alone and control very little.
No electric fuel pump just a stop solenoid. The dashboards aren't much.
The do as you likeys can get past them in five minutes.

yeh - removed and then replaced an aftermarket Thatcham approved level unit .. POP, once I'd worked out what was doing what ... at that level of machine there can not be a great deal that is insurmountable
if the 'drema's analogue canbus ever went south, i'd rewire it with conventional switches and relays ... there is nothing that can't be gotten over conventionally - and she's fairly complex
