Hello
On the hunt for a 2nd hand JCB, I see a few without hammer lines but I want to possibly run a hedgecutter head or tree shear down the line.
Is it possible to fit a hammer line & what kinda cost involved?
We are looking at a budget of 12~15K, prefer the older non JCB engined ones, any tips on what points to look at/avoid much appreciated, fairly handy with spanners here.
Thanks.

We’ve got an older js130hd 2008 machine Isuzu engined came to us in 2010 with 3k hours now got 5500 the last few years it’s cost me over £10k in bits that have gone wrong with it!

Had a case drain fitted for piling hammer but was only flexy hose laid on boom as ours has fully spec being the hd on bigger under carriage weighing 15800kg plenty big standard ex hire 60hp things about

I bet a set of aux pipes if steel piped etc cost 2-3k fitted

Yeah, have settled on waiting for one with the hammer lines fitted, rather than arsing about doing it as an afterthought.
