all. machine is fixed - in the spirit of sharing intellect and huge dollars saved i wanted to explain how i fixed it.
I found the illusive C837 plugs under the seat that come off of the electrical slipring on the upper harness and tested continuity on the two plugs from the top of the slip ring to the bottom of the slip ring.
one plug has 6 can wires
one plug has 7 power and ground wires
it seems i lost CAN 2 HIGH signal in the slip ring
instead of replacing the whole slip ring i stole the wires that go to Pin #3 on the 7 pin plug (Livelink telematics ground) and used that as the CAN 2 HIGH circuit. had to do some splicing on the top and the bottom.
It worked
