Typical of France , the make while you wait consist of , " we dont have that fitting in stock , come back on Friday"
So we will have to see what happens then.

what's the other end attached to ?
a more general/wider field of view would help ... red thing might be the slew drive? but am not familiar with this later model ... you are going to get some oil loss - do you have any plugs to put in the open fitting ends?

Pardon our interruption...

tightness depends on the type of union ... tapered cone = reasonably tight, O ring seat/face seal doesn't need to be over dogged - ditto metric ends don't need to be too tight either ... hard to describe to an unfamiliar 'hand', just how tight, other than nip them up and then give it a little more, with a good nip down for the tapered cone type

Thanks i managed to get a foam ear plug in there , seems to have stopped it for the moment at least. i will be getting some of them plugs tho for the future

If you can't find a local supplier, this crowd is easy to deal with:
hcparts.pl
For smaller diameter hoses, foam ear plugs will work to block the hose.
Looks like the hose will always rub on the chassis - a spiral wrap or similar protection may help to save the next hose,

looks like metric to me from the pix ... you shouldn't have much trouble getting that made up other than the 30 deg swept union ... might have to have a swept adapter on the end of a hose with two straights on it, but hopefully your hose place should have swept fittings .. plenty of space to fit a separate adapter though ..... be interesting to know what that cost in La Belle France ? ... what part are you calling home?

We had our honeymoon around there think it was thuir. My dad had a house further inland when I was younger near staint guadans.

Edit: actually return circuit hence leaking when parked, links rotary joint to slew motor leakoffs I reckon.

spent a week in that area and have 'done' the entire French Med coast, on two wheels in the '80s, from Banyuls Sur Mer to Menton ..... and the other way .... great biking roads
2009 since I was last in that part of the world

spent a week in that area and have 'done' the entire French Med coast, on two wheels in the '80s, from Banyuls Sur Mer to Menton ..... and the other way .... great biking roads
2009 since I was last in that part of the world

You are correct, on closer inspection it appears to be the leakoff for slew drive and passes via the rotary joint on its way to the tank.

Thought the same as you but if you look closely it is the rotary joint, pictures aren't the clearest.

Hi, the pipe comes from a round unit just behind the large red unit, it has 4 pipes coming out of the top and another 3 or 4 on the sides, it then comes round to the front of the large red unit and fixes where indicated with the arrow. Hope this is clearer ?

i think its the one that comes out of no. 12 ? 6 looks right but at the other end , it goes into its own fitting not a "T" fitting like the diagram.
