Handy of jcb to make them with a limited lifespan isn't it. Comes to something when their hoses out last them

I'd given Rory one suggestion this afternoon Stu .... this valve's got iron-worm ..BAD suggested cleaning all the pitting out and paint off ... spread some JB weld or similar on the offending faces and sandwhich between a pair of plates, clamped over with a couple of bolts ... much like a spring to axle clamping set up ... once the JB's gone off and bonded everything, it'd hold some serious pressure, with the clamp plates in place too
