Fair point Dave,to be honest I’m more concerned with having a machine that works as it should for the next few years than eventual resale.Also depends on initial price relative to others.

Have to say I am quite impressed with New Holland 110,I had a bit of try out but will go back in week or so as they had no buckets and I wanna try grading with it

I jumped in a brand new case backhoe at a show once, span the chair around and kicked off the hammer floor pedal wire clean off which plugged into the floor like a big after thought!

Last ford I used was ok biggest issue I found was it had less bucket rotation on the backhoe it was smooth enough with decent power not sure if they have changed front loader control it had single stick with twist on top for clam. It was a long while back so probably all different now. Only thing with jcb is they seem to sell well and make top money, I think the older 3cx machines up to 2008 /2009 are much better to use and much more reliable.Have to say I am quite impressed with New Holland 110,I had a bit of try out but will go back in week or so as they had no buckets and I wanna try grading with it

I have’nt seen a recent model around here for years,but they still seem quite popular a little further west.The rep told me they are identical to the case.Dave believe it or not the hammer pedal is still a sort of crap loose thing on the floor!The loader control was a joystick with toggle for the 4in1,but it was far too harsh on the switch,did’nt like it.I put a lot of hours on a Ford 555c in Australia back in the 90’s with twist top and it was bloody good tool.I am pretty impressed with the 110 ,I. need to go back for another go to get a real feel for it.

I thought there was some differences between the ford and case has the case got a curved boom? What engines do they use now. It was a 555 I used mainly on a pecker at the time I was on a p7 turbo sitemaster there wasn’t a lot between the two really the jcb had much smoother and lighter controls, the ford was better on the front loader but seemed to have smaller front bucket to me.

My first 3cx with easy controll had a toggle for the 4/1 it too was very fast, they fitted a check valve it which slowed it down abit, soon got used to it and actually preferred the extra speed it had in the end.

The old Case Construction King/580 had nothing in common with the old Ford backhoes. The Ford 555 was closest in size to the Massey 50’s and a lot smaller than a 580 Case.
Looks like the new Case and New Holland’s are different machines altogether. They certainly look to have a different cylinder arrangement on the front bucket linkage.

I think the case can be specced with the straight over centre boom or the NH curved one.My reservation with crazy fast 4in1 is on fork work ,which I do a lot of,a bit of fine control is pretty crucial with a dodgy pallet of bricks hanging off the front.

I know it's extra kit to carry around but would a dedicated set of pallet forks on a quick hitch sort it out best. Ag telehandlers are incredibly quick but having the forks in nice and close to the pivot point makes them perfectly easy on pallet work

I have’nt tried the case Bri as there is no dealer anywhere near us but the NH dealer is a mile from us.I do’nt think a front qh and forks would work as I move around a lot now,carrying buckets and forks would be a challenge.

You can get two different loader set ups on the case they are both cnh machines the ford can be specced with fixed or variable hyd pumps not sure on the case probably the same, I think the USA case machines are different to European ones.

Probably are. Cat produce different machines for both markets, same engines and drivelines, different frames. Have you thought about a Cat?
