That's really not too bad at all. They ain't that bad on diesel. I did 45miles travel the other day and pushed 10 lorry loads out and a few other bits and did 34.5l of derv
Yeah, some days I’d shove 100L+ into mine, doing that with white wouldn’t be a nice end to the day!Two words- white diesel!!
? never seen that, seen a Hidromek one, but was a bit heaver than the JCBAnd hydrema do a direct competitor to the 1cx on the offchance someone here still wants one

I looked into the concept a few years back, and was thinking I must of missed that completely.Sorry that's what I meant
which is????Now that backhoes and ducks are on white does it open the possibilities of towing a trailer with them. Wasn't the red diesel one of if not the only obstacle for towing the trailer.
And hydrema do a direct competitor to the 1cx on the offchance someone here still wants one
Purely agricultural useTwo words- white diesel!!
Hidromek...hydrema don't?which is????

could put a blade carrier/8ft bucket on any VA boomed duck and do the same though AdamA bit late to this conversation however I am still very much of the mindset that there will always be a place for a backhoe, there isn't another piece of plant that can travel on the road like it, especially now with the latest transmissions with torque lock or direct drive etc.
However in the past 12mths I have spent a lot of time on our 7MWR wheeled excavator and that machine still surprises me with what its capable of on site, fair enough its not got the road speed of a backhoe as the 7 is only 30kph top speed and the Hydrostatic certainly looses speed on hills but we still road ours everywhere and wouldn't want to be without a wheeled machine now.
Its unique in the rubber duck world in that you have the large loader bucket so you can actually carry attachments with you, I can fit 3 digging buckets and a grader in the loader bucket or a 3ft bucket and tree shear for example, we have also made a bracket for our Flail so that it hooks on the blade so we carry that everywhere too. That same bucket makes loading or moving/carrying material far more efficient.
I am aware that the Mecalac machines do come at a premium, but there isn't another machine that can touch them in terms of versatility or compactness etc

Even my duckling is a fair climb, and remembering where the steps are if your not straight.Such a Nice looking machine, I have considered a hydradig or Takeuchi duck, only thing that puts me off them is the high cab height for getting in and out allday on Groundworks jobs.. the mecalac looks a lot lower![]()
Hooked my trousers on the top step of the 3cx and shinned the step below afew times! The newer style with spikes did some damage!!Even my duckling is a fair climb, and remembering where the steps are if your not straight.

Worst one was jumping out the cab, coat sleeve caught in the door mid flight and pulled me back down into the steps, then slid down them all on my back.. styled it out on the floor in a heap half winded! That’s why you don’t jump out of cabs kidsI've got a scar up my shin from doing this on a dumper. Must be the only time I've ever climbed of a dumper the right way slipped and ended up with the step firmly wedged in my shin
No reason not to however boom geometry, even with a VA boom on more standard ducks still wouldn't put it in a great roading position. There are times where I wish I had a blade carrier too, sometimes you just need all the attachments!could put a blade carrier/8ft bucket on any VA boomed duck and do the same though Adam![]()
I am sure that in the Mecalac blurb they mention around 20% lower, so its pretty significant.Such a Nice looking machine, I have considered a hydradig or Takeuchi duck, only thing that puts me off them is the high cab height for getting in and out allday on Groundworks jobs.. the mecalac looks a lot lower![]()
This was addressed too, the slew ring is perfectly central in the machine and the steps symmetrical so no matter which direction your pointing the steps are always in the same place.Even my duckling is a fair climb, and remembering where the steps are if your not straight.
