Jolly smart Ollie ! @Gunners
A few quid but then again there's folk who spend that on Rangerover !
Well done the sense of excited kid is ace 👌🏻👌🏻😂

Thanks, I'm really pleased with it, but buying a new machine is the easy bit as you all well know. I have big plans for the possibilities of what this machine could do - if I can find the right work for it.
Its going to work Monday, nothing special but we shall see how we get on, there's a lot of new features to get used to.
Ultimately this is a bit of an educated gamble. If the school work comes back like I think it will, and I can show it being used in some new and unique ways, then it should be as successful as the tiltrotator was for me.
Attachments are key I think for the backhoe and that's the way I plan to explore its potential.

What a cracking machine. Great to see JCB working with someone to get proper real world input not just computer driven models

What are you thinking off for the front end? Whats the flow to the aux?
i very nearly went down the crusher bucket route for mine, but couldn’t get the flowing without additional buggery, and also the dust would of been drawn straight into the rads and caused no end of headaches.. shame as I could of seen it working quite nicely!

Well there is a video out there of a guy running an MB crusher on the front end, no idea how he's got the flow to the front for that.
I see front end attachments being one of the key areas to utilise the backhoe better. Concrete mixer buckets, tree forks, maybe a laser box grader like the skid steers run?
I've seen someone with a flail on the front....

At this stage, I'll earn some money first then we can afford to go playing with these ideas...

Lot of machine sat doing not alot while a mini digger loads it.

A 3cx running things like that isn't what it's for.

A backhoe already does what it does best. They ain't attachment friendly.
That was another one of my reasons why I didn’t go down the line of a front crusher bucket, as to get it working efficiently it needed to be stationary and loaded by another machine… then at that money you may as well of got a dedicated crusher or just sent the two wagon loads away and be done with it!
I see a 4cx as a powerhouse machine - loading wagons allday , chucking 1000ton of type1 out day after day.. then they really do pay!
I’d still love one.. maybe oneday again!

That's exactly what they do best.
