One of these. A 4cx pro with pretty much every spec option you can have. Plus its a Millionth special edition which gives you yellow rams, buckets and cab, LED headlights off the Ag Spec telehandlers, and extra worklights on the boom. Plus some details in the cab.

I'm pretty sure everyone on here Will of had that as the joal model as a kid. My sone still plays with my one

All I can say is fortune favours the brave💪
Good on you for going for it👍
I wish you all the best with it I follow your tube films (only legs)

I too I’m a great believer in ‘if you build it they will come’

Or if you buy it work turns up😳👍👍

Looks wicked mate especially the front hitch.

But I thought you said you were done with backhoes? 🤣

Looks more than a bit like a Hyundai with that amount of yellow. Id be painting the rims grey to mess with people!

Brave, mad, stupid - could be a combination of all 3! There's been a recession coming for the last 5 years, I've been sitting it out, working like mad thinking the music cant continue and I've honestly got to the point where I think I'm not waiting anymore. I've got to get out there and do what I want to do. People are already buying tiltrotators on sub 3tonners and going out for low money which technically undercuts my previous idea. I have to evolve and stay ahead of the game. I firmly believe that DualDrive amongst other new features on the modern backhoe could be a game changer for the concept. But it needs the same kind of progressive thinking that Eddie put into his 8 ton wideboy and then subsequently his Liebherr. I have some ideas for it, but it does depend on the kind of jobs I get where I can use it. To be honest, the backhoe for me earns money on price work. Sub contracting with it is a very low margin deal....

I might end up down this avenue yet. Who knows what the future holds. Trying different things is what's always made this forum interesting, sometimes they work, sometimes they don't. I honestly think this machine could be the same game changer that the tiltrotator was for me. But we will see. Worst case it will make a good youtube vid either way!

I've always said there's more potential in the youtubing than the actual digging. I'm not there yet to call it a proper income but I can see it working for others so why not give it a go. My only fumes however is going great, its paid for my new boob job ;)
Fair play for bucking the trend and I sincerely hope you make it work 👍 ......im not convinced some of these innovators you mention needed to support a family though so they could afford to be at the bleeding edge ;)

Fair play Ollie and good luck with the new machine.I am sure you will make it work for you, this game is all about taking a chance and making the most of all opportunities that come your way, often involves a bit of lateral thinking and the balls to ‘go for it’
The machine looks like awesome.

i really hope it works out well for you. me personally never got on as well with a 4cx as i did the 3cx contractors the only thing that the 4cx did perform better at was serious front loader work. but if its mainly the double drive thing that is what your after fair enough you could well find some great ways to utilize it to suit the work you do horses for courses and all that i do admire your liking for jcb products i wish you well with it.

I got to say you're a brave man with the way the industry is going foreward.everyone talking about a big recession after Christmas.its very rare to see a backhoe these days and since selling my last one probably 15 years ago I've not had a call for one.the rates are also way under what they need to be.ill look foreward to your updates and wish you all the very best with your new machine
nick...

Probably because people speak and know you've sold it hence why the phone doesn't ring for it.

@Gunners best of luck with your new machine 💪

Just watched your latest youtube, and i couldnt agree more with this statement.

"My machines don't need to do a day's works every day they sometimes only need to do 10 minutes to cover them for a week"

Double drive does seem like a game changer. If you've got the work for it, the cost is irrelevant.

I just never had the right work even for a £16k model! Always too tight, too rough/slopey or too wet. When I could fit it into the job, I set out with high hopes only to discover that I'd be quicker with the E27 and tilty or the Multione. I was always disappointed with the front bucket capacity vs the turnaround time compared to the Multione. Never did get a big cut and fill that it would have excelled at. DItching was a particular dissapointment. On paper ideal, in reality useless at 90 degrees with a full bucket and way more hassle to push along to the next bit compared with standing on the pedals whilst slewing back around in a 360.

As for deep excavations.. even with my 86c, the deepest hole I've dug to date was around 5 foot....

How are you getting on having a backhoe in the fleet?

It was mainly bought for trial pitting, which has been very slow this year. It does everything we need, it will never be a machine that is utilised to its full potential every week due to our work being so varied on the groundworks side. It's very quick on the road compared to the tb295w, especially with the torque convertor.

Got to think a bit more about how you go about a job after being used to 360 for years.

Would upload some more pics, but iphone 16 seems to be to higher resolutions

You can either email them to yourself and pick medium size or screen shot them with power and volume up. What I’ve been doing but it’s fiddly and get duplicates
