I can totally see the point of one on a building site- one machine to do it all.

Just wasnt right in the least for my kind of work.
They do most things… I’ve only had to bail on two jobs after making a huge mess and getting stuck and dragging myself out - in 15 years. Everything else was dandy

Nice picture Dave, Go on you know you want another one😬
My biggest issue is that with all my previous work on a 3cx I’d be working with another team of guys on the ground.. so I’d mainly stay in the machine. These days I don’t work for anyone else I just work on my own building sites and farm work, I easily jump in and out 50times a day so doing that on a 3cx makes for a long day.. I used to launch myself out of the back window when I was abit younger like a crazy flying squirrel! 🤦‍♂️

I get that a good man on a 3cx is impressive to watch but he still cant swing Muck behind him :)
yes there is that but there are other ways of going about certain jobs space permitting of course when i started on them there were lots of old boys driving them i found watching how they went about different jobs and tasks helped me no end. once i had some time on them everything became easier and the confidence that gave me helped greatly. hardly see them at all now working local at one time they were common on every site, i dont think they will ever be like that again.

Sadly I agree, but when you can get a 6tonner for half the money you can’t blame anyone!
