Trackers that can immobilise kit give me piece of mind, although I’m ‘hopefully’ well covered by nfu if something does go missing, the fact I’ve got an eye on the machines from the phone is very reassuring…get alerts or automatic immobilisation if you want for movement, attempting start, etc or you can just say ping me if I move 500m after 5pm etc.
I hate insurance premiums but hopefully being well covered keeps me out of the s**t/dock/bankruptcy and homeless shelter etc if it ever goes really wrong on a job!

Weirdly, absolutely no discount from nfu for having the trackers

Basically a double sided handle on a chainsaw. Common for felling big softwood on the West Coast of the USA and primarily used this side of the Atlantic for showing off in Mrs Miggins back garden or Instagram. Usually combined with 'double dawgs'

Think Grassmen tints but for tree surgeons.
Oh shaddap😆😆 I've got one on my 461 and bloody handy on steep hillsides up here...maybe not so in the Surrey Ponce's gardens you frequent . I'm guessing your not a bark box fan either 😛😛😛

I know a thing or two about felling on steep hillsides! Most Surrey gardens I frequent are very steep woodlands.

I will confess to having a BarkBox on my 462. I've mixed feelings- it does work and there's noticeably more power. But by God it's loud!

Same. Did three hours with it an ordered an 881
The saw is OK for me (it'll blow up next time out now won't it 😅 ) just the full wrap was a pointless mistake choice.
It won't replace my Spud ported 461 though, that's for sure! Bloody love that saw

They didn't recognise my tracker the one time I asked, since then ive always considered trackers are my business, not theirs. I'd worry that it would give them an excuse not to pay out if it didn't work as well....

Royally taking the piss!! All modern cars are just as easy to steal!!
Saw a new Ferrari being stolen in a video, had a dislock and a ghost(cambus immobiliser) and it was gone within 30 seconds!! London moped scum!

I was under the impression that proper ghost were unsteal’able and offered a full car back guarantee?

i know its not as easy as just cambus plugin when ghost fitted

They are bollox, I had one fitted to my RS, it never worked right so the guys had to move it to a different location on the car as it had interference, no joking it was taken off completely and moved within 10 mins!
If I remember correctly there is about 6 locations they can be fitted.
Same when I had a Kosran fuel and electric immobiliser on a machine once, my fitter cut the fuel lines, joined them to bypass the solenoid lock, and the wiring was stripped completely out in no time. all they stop is casual opportunist theft!

My business insurance renewal is up about 30% - hunted around and no other company can get near it.

Van insurance has basically doubled. Had other quotes back about 30% higher than last year.

Anyone got a good broker for the van insurance? Have gone through the comparison websites and spoken to a few on phone but most of them don't even have an option for van being parked in a secure yard which I feel should make a big difference to theft risk at least. I'm hoping a proper broker might take this into account and offer me a reasonable premium...

I've had some luck using mustard insurance, same as go compare etc but somehow comes in less.
Not sure if there is a secure compound option
I was with brentacre for the last 3 years with my ranger but they wouldn't insure the new one, was getting quotes north of 2k ended up around £750
