****ing spammer ... anyone else had one?

Speaking to someone the other day who had his lorry stolen and then used to go round builders merchants picking up materials on his account
He said he had put a passcode on all his accounts to stop it happening again and I think put a note on them saying the account couldn't be used for power tools and the like just materials

had some tw*t booking stuff on my accounts years ago ... no signatures though ... merchants knew I would not pay invoices without approved/known, recognisable siggys on collection notes ... and still did it .... their problem

I Stopped sign writing everything about 5years ago, and thinking about it all the trades I use (elec,plumber, builder,joiner) all have plain vans too! Plumber was the last one to stop after two of his vans got the doors ripped open to steal tools out of!

That’s exactly the reason I don’t have my van sign written, as much as I’d like to have a nice wrap put on it, it’s a magnet for thief’s, even if there was nothing inside, it’s having the doors or whatever pulled back and damaged, the inconvenience the hassle, the “are they going to try the house next” feeling. Agree with what Mike said about making you stand out and the advertising, and was told the same many years ago, but unfortunately vehicle crime has rocketed from back in the day and it’s taking them (in some cases) less than a minute, to be in your van, have it emptied, and be away

Never had any of my vans or jeeps signwritten. My van has to much tools in the back. So I don’t want to advertise the fact it has the gear in there. As far as anyone passing me on the road is concerned I could be a carpet fitter or a gypsie. Lol I like all my machines signwritten don’t know if it’s ever got me or lost me any work.

Many years ago after having our first van sign written....got a phone call saying your van has cut me up....explained that I wasn’t driving and the rant continued as they didn’t believe me!!

Never bothered getting another one done after that!!
