Has anyone else been following the development of this?
When they first started talking about, it sounded an ideal candidate when I came to change vehicles next, I`m was looking at moving from a double cab pick up to a 4x4 van, Toyota land cruiser van looked OK, not too many frills (which is what I wanted), but had a poor towing weight. With not much else on the market I`ve been following the development of this, getting drip fed bits of info as they come available, 3.0l bmw 6 cylinder engine, ZF transmission, proper chassis and so on, while no price but saying it will be competitive.
Yesterday the exterior design was reviled.
Hmmm
I know the is only so much you can do with a square boxy shape, but I was hoping for something that would have its own identity, rather than a LR copy, the rear doors look an improvement over a defender, and it looks to be a bit wider, a bit more elbow room maybe?
The price, competitive? I was thinking mid £20`s - mid £30`s, reading an article yesterday, in autocar I think, No firm price given yet but ineos said it would begin with a "4" and would have a N1 category = commercial vehicle, so that will be plus vat.
At that price it would seem to be a bit high for a no frills work truck.
Any one else been following it, and got any thought`s
