My local landrover specialist has just taken on the servicing and warranty work for Ineos.
Given that the “local” dealer in Portsmouth binned it off, this could be good news for my potential next work truck.
I think they are compromised but certainly well built where it matters, and I’ll just have to get my landrover head on to modify the rest of it to suit 😆

I've a theory on this...
Our local high end car dealer (Porsche/BMW etc) took it on at first and then binned it off last year. And now it's gone to a smaller independent...I reckon they all though it would be a big seller to the Chelsea truck brigade and it hasn't ... I am seeing a few more in working garb towing etc

There’s a few locally that I see regularly. They don’t do anything for me tbh, prefer my d4!

They kind of remind me more of a humvee than a defender. I always think they look a little to wide.
Obviously this is done so you can drive them without your arm out the window.
I've only ever been passenger in one and obviously a vast improvement over an old defender. But they are proper land cruiser money and I think the land cruiser just edges it. Just a shame they have stopped making the v8

I always remember in the past thinking each new generation of vehicles looked cooler and better styled. But now I feel they are getting worse. Is it an age thing? Or do others think similar.

They are all just shite now.

I remember when the ranger mk2 came out with the wildtrak in 2006...I'd still have one of those over the newer ones.

First truck I had was mk2 2wd. Second was a mk2 4wd. Awesome trucks
And my 06 plate l200 animal on 230k miles went better than the 2.8 invincible x I have now.
Trucks are so big and bloated now. The l200 short bed was a brilliant size.

My 3rd truck was a mk2 ranger xlt, I do like my hiluxs but mk8 onwards I'm not fussed.

My mk7 (mk.6.3) lux passed its Mot yesterday. Literally it can stand for months and fire up and drive like it was only parked up 30 mins ago.
