Just picked this up from the local garden machinery place (who no longer do stihl or husky) for £180. 2012, just been serviced, doesn't seem to have done a huge amount👌
Fills some of the gap between the battery makita/170/little husky and the 461👍

Then pilfa all the designs
They call it "technology transfer". (a polite way of saying the same thing).

Not a chainsaw, but I damaged the carb on Honda GX140 and replaced it with a chinese "equivalent".
Hmmm ... it works, but the plating is so thin it started rusting within months. The rubber seal in the fuel tap has swelled, so now the tap won't move ... etc.
There is 'made in china' to someone elses spec and 'made in china' to domestic/ aliexpress spec.

I was being a bit tongue in cheek, I am told that Stihl and Husquvarna do work together on technology to keep the internal combustion engine available.
Stihl supply husky with carburettors from their dedicated factory in China and in return husky provide Stihl with the electronics to do autotune.
I'm inclined to believe it as their are some models of saw from the big two that I can't tell apart from the sound 🤔😁

Talking to a guy yesterday who uses husky saws a lot and he was telling me that one of his had to go back for a software upgrade🙈😂
And some saws have heated handles, really?
