I ran this constructor many moons ago . It must of been an early one as it had a scamwell name board on it when I got it and it had the scamwell axles as well

This disk cuts nice and deep so comes away so clean

Finished drive job on Tuesday
And put a couple of gate posts in for the paddock on the right they will be setting some fence a meter back from road eventually
Started on Wednesday another campsite 3rd one this year
Got loads of cables , services and drains to do plus four hard standings for seasonal staff as to they are losing 5k a year per pitch on the main campsite so we are putting them up in the caravan storage/dog walking field
Got the electric cable from main supply shed to where we pick up the drain and water yesterday while going over the main 3 phase supply in and under the feed from the solar panels
Got the new manhole in and started digging a nice and neat trench then bam bloody big rock before we even got the first length of 110mm pipe in and there goes my tidy trench

Hoses have been made long enough to run under a rotate 90° each wayOften thought when running flail that be awesome under a tilty
But can direct mount as well

I’ll be interested in how you get on with it tbh. You’ll want every last drop of flow the digger can supply through that - I’ve got the swinging hammer version (and paid a lot extra to have a variable displacement motor) and it doesn’t blow me away on my 6 tonne Takeuchi. I’d like to try it on a 13 tonner as I reckon it would be mega with an oversupply of oil!

On that note...mates just got flail for kx027 but not got case drain ? I recommended he ran one? Reckon tank have tappings for one?

Also, be careful picking it up/taking it off as a direct mount - the hoses coming out of the top foul my dipper. You have to force the QH open on the floor…

Case drain on these is ok t-eed into tank return as long as it is free-flow open to tank.

don't all need case drain ...... my Bomford's not got a drain, but does have a CLRV
the Bomford I mounted up for Alex a while back didn't either, but I created a CLRV for it of sorts

It's got the smaller rated motor so might have some spare to track it ever so slowly

Fortunately the top hitch is the new qs40 and slides attachment/bucket forward and back respectively when releasing or attaching also the hitch plumbing is off of the pump as releases with out hardly moving any service so will do it before full curl

Be very careful assuming that free to tank return is as free flow as you think. Often find its tee'd into main return just before tank and actually quite restrictive.

I meant that the return is ‘opened’ - on my Tak you have to physically turn the return to breaker with a big spanner (which makes it a one-way service) to use the flail. It will spin up and run fine on two-way, but blows the motor seals when you turn it off as the oil return for the case drain is immediately blocked…

Yeah i know what you were meaning. The point I'm making is assuming they are as free flow as you think is wrong. May still need case drain line added and ran right back to tank if there is too much back pressure on the return even when on single acting. Takis can suffer this as the aux return tees into the main return before going into tank. It'll probably not be an issue for most who are not trying to run a motor which is on the limit of the machine can power.

Mine is fitted with the 50-60lpm motor and machine is around 80lpm

Still haven’t got my flail right on the 57, it’s gutless, may do the ditches with it if I can be bothered. cyclone flail on the tractor does everything else now!
