Waste oil collection is only local to us as far as I'm aware but I will check tomorrow for you and let you know, we have a third party that does the pickup for us at a discounted rate etc but they may know of someone else who is over there or makes the trip, what quantities are you talking?

Slicker oil recycling take mine away, they used to take it away for free years ago, I believe they used to refine it and sell to the power stations that then burned it with the coal. Last time I had oil taken away it cost about £130 for about 500 gallon.

yeah I dont need a head torch

I need 205 litres of 15w40 oil please delivered to NN6 8BE

best price for forum?

there’s not much of the new plant that runs on 15w40 anymore. We used to go through about 150 gallon a month, have a tank full of the stuff that’s been sitting for about 3 year now got hardly anything that runs on it. It’s 10w30 api cj-4 we use now it seems to cover all the new modern machine requiring synthetic oil.

we used to get a couple of pence a litre for it, but last time I was glad to just be shot of it .... guy had about 400 gallons when i cleared the yard ..... used to generate a couple of hundred gal.s a month, when I ran all the cranes, the fitting shop for commercials and the local R&W bus fleet for Aber and Brecon.

your right now that that you mentioned it we used to get money back on the waste oil as well. As you say wants much but sure beats paying to take it away. I’ve got a lot of machines on fixed price service contracts now so not going though as much oil as we once did. For talking sake pay £1.50 per hour on the machine service clock and that covers labour, genuine parts and oil, waste taken care of and service out of working hours.

remarkably they found very little considering it was a bus garage since 1942
We’ve been working on a job in Glasgow for the past 10 years. It was a royal ordinance factory during ww1 and remained active until 2000’s never seen ground contaminated like it. All the buildings get controlled burnt before demolition few have exploded doing so, they manufactured cordite and nitroglycerin. All going for house now good couple hundred been built on it so far. Built there own landfill cells to contain the vast amounts of asbestos. If anyone is bored one day have a read up on the place ROF Bishopton.

Fuchs is our main supplier (Some may know them as Silkolene who they bought a long time ago)
Castrol
Shell
Gulf
Liqui Moly
Millers
SAR Lubricants
Hyperdrive
Valvoline

The advantage we have with Fuchs is the fact that most of the oils have up to date Approvals meaning the machines are covered under warranty etc and everything is made to very high specifications but more affordable than some of the more commonly known brands in the market.

There's quite a few on here would benefit from good deals on fuchs grease and guns. Would save them having to use customers leccy to charge their cordless ones 🤪
