I think they know if they leave it much longer they will be done.
Reform down a bit, greens in the s**t Lowe and reform won't merge and conservatives still lacking trust plus said they won't join with reform

Hearing strong speculation that there will be an election before Xmas. Some are even suggesting Burnham might be going to see Charlie tomorrow to ask for permission to dissolve parliament by the end of the week. Labour trying to push through some voting changes on parliament next week
He's said its not going to happen. I'm going to guess its all just media hype to sell a story. Not that I trust him but it would make him look a bit of a chancer

Why would he go for a General Election? Could backfire...
They have a bounce in the polls. The economic picture is going to get worse with interest rates, electric bills and inflation all heading up over the next few months. Better to loss some of the back benchers in the fall out of an election than have to hang on until 2029 and hope it has improved.
Cancel the budget this month, get a new mandate and go with raising tax and spending in a December budget.

Making him look like a bit of a chancer. Does he not look like that all ready!!
I seem to remember in his election in Makersfield he said something like “I don’t want to reopen the Brexit vote”. What he meant was “I intend to take us back into closer EU ties without having a mandate”
He also needs to stop Reform being able to up there game spending the donations. Go early and it won’t have had an impact yet. People haven’t realeased the reform party has been very quiet over the summer due to the election rules. When Nigel was fighting his self inflicted by election, main stream media gave him no air time as they didn’t want to interview binface and the rest. This has also been evident with the lack of coverage for Stammer’s old seat. They didn’t want the rest of the country to see the labour candidate or give air time to our green friend Zac.
It is almost like we are being played!!

Let's not forget: if he gets his mandate, hewill seize the opportunity... Lots more tax, no more pensions.....
The blokes got more sides than the town hall clock.

Reform have dough and aren't as stupid as the media would love us to believe. They are quite simply our only hope. Let see if the sjeeple are bright enough to see what's staring them in the face

I'll be honest, I really rate Kemi..... If the Manchester Mong leaves it twelve months, she might just crack it.
But I suspect a November election..... because "We need to make tough financial calls and need a mandate to do so"......

And therein lies the problem.
But remember politicians are the face of others

I also like kemi but can you see the general populace accepting a person of colour with dodgy front teeth who identifys as a woman? Sadly not and it's a shame as she got more balls than most of them.
Tory's are out of play for now imo.

I don’t see why people wouldn’t vote for her - I think she’s very good (I’m just not convinced by the rest of her party). She’s probably the best politician out there at the moment imo.

Not a question of if they'll vote...it's if she's allowed a chance . Remember Boris.

I think you'd be surprised. She actually ticks the elderly conservative box.... although she's black she's seen as a strong woman and says the right stuff for her.

Boris was knifed by Fishy Rishi.... as was the Lettuce. The Banks wanted Fishi.... because Fishi would see them right, and by f**k I hope one day it all is brought into the light and we get a hanging for high treason. I am convinced history will see Fishi as a scheming actor who's role was self serving and fundementally against the good of the country.

Kemi does not have this issue... the more time given, the more we will see her as a predictable and stable anchor. I didn't like Fishi....

Her potential undoings are some rather decorative things and suggestions about her childhood "I was so bright, I was so wonderful" shut up and focus on the Now.

But in all honesty a child of a migrant that has seen the space between the Western world and Africa. Can stand up and honestly say to the entire population of London that they are doing better than a whole continent just by turning on a tap and has seen the bottom of the world aswell as the top.

IF a few get behind her, we will see her as next PM.... BUT that's 12-24 months away and will need a few more foot in mouth moments.

Lastly she needs to find, and put fore and center someone who is Rural but non Toffey...... Because that is what's needed to kill off the Lib Dems.

Speaking of Lib Dems.... our local county council leader is busy trying to beat Ed Davy over the head...... Now if dearest Julian Suddenly became an MP and Replaced Ed we would worryingly see a very viable Lib Dem party.

The problem with Olukemi Olufunto Adegoke "Kemi" Badenoch is that she is Nigerian. Nothing wrong with that but not suitable as leader of Britain. She was born here while her parents were on a trip here and became a british citizen by way of a loophole which was closed a long time ago. I think she spent her first 16 years growing up in Nigeria and I believe has also lived in the US? I assume she is also a dual citizen of Nigeria? That should immediately rule you out imo. Fair play she has married outside her ethnic group and has good instincts but she's just not British in my eyes so how can you be pm?

I think you have high lighted the problem - the rest of her party. I would put at least half the Conservative MPs in the wet category, essentially Liberal Democrats or even Blue Labour, so even if she became Prime Minister she would not be able to carry out any of her policies.
Basically the whole thing is a mess and much as I like the idea of a fresh start with Reform I don't see it happening. I suspect the centre right/right vote will be split and Labour will get back in by default even if the need the support of the Greens to get a majority.

Personally I see that as a positive not a negative. No one in Britain has seen true poverty unless they are a drug addled waster. Even the most useless individuals get board and lodge here because it's inhuman to let them sleep on the streets. Fresh perspective we should be listening to with open ears.

Now if there where other candidates born and raised here I'd be all for putting them ahead of her.... But there isn't. I don't trust Farage or Lowe, one is more of the same, the other is a very optimistic but ultimately clueless chap.... I'm not going to call him anything more although I'd be concerned about the road he'd be happy to lead us down.

As for the fact the Tory's are full of liberals, flannels and economists.... Yes. However balance is a fundamentally important thing. A party with a mix of people having a majority is no bad thing. Issue is when you have a concentration of like minded pricks as we have at present.
