General election

I gather that soon 16 & 17 yr olds may have limits set on their screen time (poss night time curfew) If they cannot decide when to go to bed why is this same age group to be trusted to vote in elections that could send men off to war, or make huge difference economically? I think it is because youngsters are or have recently been under left wing indoctrination of schools / colleges, & less able to think for themselves.
I also gather if Burnham wins then the resulting GM mayoral election rules are about to be gerrymandered to make a Reform win impossible

I hate these ***** bring back guy faulkes
Yep its less about 16 year olds more about getting everyone to use digital id to access YouTube. Its so nakedly political. Why would you apply it to YouTube which isnt really social media its more of a learning or entertainment platform and yet exclude bluesky, the left version of twitter

Simple call a General Election, when in opposition they called on it every time conservatives swapped jockeys.

But. How can they elected a party leader and PM who wasn't even an MP or an option as a leader when they 'won'. If it was anyone else there would be holy murder about it.

But they will soon be on the summer shut down won't they so I imagine the paralysis can continue.

Finally can't stand the man and I've never voted for him as manchester mayor, just hope this doesn't mean no brainer rainer doesn't try to be mayor or Gary Neville

Well the result for restore wasn't too far out from my canvassing sample the other week. Strong start for a young party but disappointing after all the hype. The party should have managed expectations and been a lot clearer and firmer with their instructions to canvassers. Considering voting restore should not have been marked down as a restore vote. Disappointed Lowe's account posted internal polling over 20%, laughable really. It opened my eyes when up there to how loyal labour voters are. They don't care about policy or leader just the brand. Im from the right side of the spectrum but ive voted for 3 or 4 different parties in my time I reckon. Whoever says what I want to happen at each election. Gutted that the whole right vote couldn't of even beat Labour with them receiving over 50%. I cant see restore being in any position to challenge for power in 2029. Perhaps the best we can hope for is to hold Reforms feet to the fire and hold them to the right. What do you think @doobin? I know you signed up.

This was an interesting but long article on our demographics https://t.co/GJsL8in71X
