I'm not seeing a majority coming in either direction, be prepared for a period of faff coming
I can’t see we have a meaningful vote up here Mike whatever we want so I agree , faff on the wayI'm not seeing a majority coming in either direction, be prepared for a period of faff coming
I have doubts about the sudden National Service announcement, my thoughts, no consultation with business / industry - we are already in a tight labour market so taking a whole year out of the pool does not help in a time of 'full' employment. How can it be paid for in today's financial climate? Also it may kick off another refusenick youth cult such as punk or hippiedom. The last thing the forces need is more 'Corporal Klingers' - Just look at some of those Vietnam films full of stoned idle troublemakers.
I also think reforms need to be far & wide, Private landlordisim is a kind of dole for the middle classes. One young guy who did a bit for me said he did not care if he was working or not. If he signed on (or was sick) the state paid his rent, if he worked he paid to the landlord but got nothing out of it. In other words he had no incentive to work & was a trapped 'serf' Mass immigration has not helped, it jacks up rents - ultimately there may be some kind of revolution or civil war. The Jews being the landlord class in 1920's Germany when all else went pear shaped led to them being singled out.
Only bit of reality in this thread
Not knowing who they are, Im guessing they just won blue ribbons at the farm show. Lol.
Best billy goat in show? Not knowing who they are, Im guessing they just won blue ribbons at the farm show. Lol.
I would agree with that conservatives had a bad deal with problem they did not make , covid , Ukraine war etc and I'm not sure Labour would have done any better , What I cant stand is all the effort and time that goes into the in fighting within the party, that goes on i guess in any political party 1/2 the parts wants something half does not , this Rawanda thing is a classic example any government will have enough problems enacting what they want to do with the courts , then appeals European laws and so on without they in fighting from themselves. This is trouble...change for changes sake is daft imo..
I dont see a credible alternative...all labours hot air today is laughable
All the handouts, loans and furlough etc are rapidly forgotten now and all anyone can think about is a media hyped supposed party at no10.
How quickly folk forget about labours call for longer stricter lockdowns and id cards etc etc.
Anyone who believes that the biggest challenges of COVID and illegal migration and wars were purely a fault of the current government are smoking something and half of me kinda wishes for a year or two of Keir and co just to prove a point.
But I guess once again we'll have the same old but different coloured crowd probably increased borrowings to pay for an increased pandering to the eco loonies. Tax increases no doubt for any of us that dare to try and earn a crust.
Emigration forms anyone?![]()

I really cant be bothered with them all they are worse then Kids
I still believe in COVID parliament should have been disbanded like in WW2 and a war cabinet formed of both sides no excuses then all parties working together for the common goal.As well as the infighting I really dislike the way they try and shoot eachother down constantly especially over potential new policies. Especially during COVID. I find it like children squabbling. Its done in such a rude and unconstructive way.
Tbf the majority need to hang from the bridgeI still believe in COVID parliament should have been disbanded like in WW2 and a war cabinet formed of both sides no excuses then all parties working together for the common goal.
Hardly like labour actually challenged anything the government actually did anyway pathetic bletherings and then agreed.
