Tories have been in a long time now though. I wouldn't mind a change but not THE change.
This is trouble...change for changes sake is daft imo..
I dont see a credible alternative...all labours hot air today is laughable

All the handouts, loans and furlough etc are rapidly forgotten now and all anyone can think about is a media hyped supposed party at no10.
How quickly folk forget about labours call for longer stricter lockdowns and id cards etc etc.

Anyone who believes that the biggest challenges of COVID and illegal migration and wars were purely a fault of the current government are smoking something and half of me kinda wishes for a year or two of Keir and co just to prove a point.

But I guess once again we'll have the same old but different coloured crowd probably increased borrowings to pay for an increased pandering to the eco loonies. Tax increases no doubt for any of us that dare to try and earn a crust.

Emigration forms anyone?😊

The majority of people just look that they are annoyed with tories so labour must be the answer.
I really hate the Tory bashing at the moment. Not for any particular allegiance to them. I just believe in equality and bashing all politicians equally. The Tory party haven't screwed anything up. The Tory politicians have. The same as the labour politicians before. I think snp and Welsh labour have fair cocked up too. As have the Democrats and Republicans in America. Therefore I can see the only answer being get rid of politicians.

But then I'm not the biggest fan of Charles. So not sure of the alternatives.

Id of still preferred Jeremy the Druid corbyn than the lefty lawyer . At least our infrastructure would be getting renationalised . We are about to get our pockets felt to pay to bail out Southern water to a monumental amount of cash. Also from what I’ve heard the rest of the water company’s due to follow.

Have no idea who to vote for as all much the same
Despise labour as everyone seems to have forgotten they bankrupted the country giving out millions to folk just to sit at home and pump out baby's they couldn't afford if it weren't for the benefits but fear this time round the benefits won't be going to home grown and they will be living better off than our own

Personally I have always voted conservative but I really don't like sunak that much I must admit to thinking maybe it's time for a change mainly down to what Labour say they are going to do to our planning system which would be good for me although that's probably bollocks but then I remember the last time they were in and I'm not sure my wallet can take it

Well we have now wheeled out national service as another half baked proposal. Presumably in the hope that it'll cause memories of how joyful it was being sent to Kenya to shoot at the mau mau, or Christmas island to be irradiated..... Of course the last of those that suffered conscription are now in there mid 80's and I know very few that saw it as a positive influence on there life in general.

So the plans, which aren't actually planned and are just a broad suggestion are two things....

Wasting a year of your life in the MOD.

Wasting a weekend a month of a year of your life propping up failing public services.

And all this when your an adult and those who this is targeted at will be trying to start there lives.

I'm in favour of a national service, but explicitly for those with little else to do and a proper set of choices..

It seems profoundly unConservative interfering more in peoples lives.

Me & the wife are only interested in either Conservatives or Reform. The latter might actually do what the Tories have long promised to do but never actually get round to. Sadly this option probably means throwing your vote away at least this time. The Tories have split & reformed several times before (1840s over corn laws / free trade & 1870s over Irish home rule) I think this is such a moment that the same thing may happen again - once the Tories sadly lose this time. Right wing Tories may ally with Reform & come out of all these things like EHCR (we were outside this till about '02 & seemed to live perfectly well - a disastrous pet legacy of Cherie Blair) This though does not help us for the next 5 years.
The elephant in the room that never gets dealt with is over population of the UK. We had a stable population 1963 to 1983 it did not grow. Housing was much easier to get, roads more pleasant to drive on. The last thing I want is a 'Hong Kong island of concrete' with nowhere to grow our food.
I suspect Labour will promise much but come up against the lack of money, & no one daft enough to lend it - just as Liz Truss did & Anthony Barber did in the past. UK N sea oil came & went, this so jacked up the currency that it was impossible to export much as we previously had done. This is what killed RB, NCK, & many others I do not know of, the skills are all gone, the oil is gone. As Callahan once said 'if I was a younger man i would emigrate
