Hate to rain on the parade, but residents of the UK have trouble getting the benefits they are allowed by law, so how would an illegal immigrant (as in someone who has no papers etc) even start a claim?
Also, the hotels are required for people claiming asylum (so they are in the system legally) because the Tories can't sort the asylum system so there is a massive backlog.

Our local LD candidate knocked on my door today, caught me at home grabbing a coffee. I was chatting about dates and he said his official whatsapp groups were very active about the meetings today and the likelihood of a July GE.

He was probably told that the legal challenges will stop the flights…..he will be toast in July……..the later he leaves it the worse it will be!!

Hmm interesting. I was thinking Tories would stay in, don't think Sunak is doing a bad job really compared with his predecessors . Maybe the damage is done though.

That’s what I thought , has to be a reason to go early and I don’t think the inflation rate drop is going to make everyone think Rishi is actually a great leader . Either that or they know something that’s going to happen within Labour that will greatly diminish their appeal. I don’t know what’s worst keir Starmer as prime minister or more Tory government.

The majority of people just look that they are annoyed with tories so labour must be the answer.
I really hate the Tory bashing at the moment. Not for any particular allegiance to them. I just believe in equality and bashing all politicians equally. The Tory party haven't screwed anything up. The Tory politicians have. The same as the labour politicians before. I think snp and Welsh labour have fair cocked up too. As have the Democrats and Republicans in America. Therefore I can see the only answer being get rid of politicians.
But then I'm not the biggest fan of Charles. So not sure of the alternatives.
