Fuel pump issue

Just had a look at the book. You are indeed correct. It is a gravity feed from the tank, i'm thinking maybe stuck vanes in the transfer pump on the back of the pump. Seems like no timing procedure is required either for pump removal.

I've had a basic look at it but nothing really obvious to me, annoyingly when I spin it by hand it spurts fuel out the injector pipe connectors. I think I'm going to pop it back on and give it a whirl and see if anything goes

Did you try priming it with the stop solenoid out? If it’s gravity supply, then could be the Gauze filter in the tank blocked!

The hand pump flows the diesel in no bother, that's why I'm not looking at the fuel filter or the fuel lines, I'm away to stick it back in and see if it's going to do anything

She did indeed fire up last night
I've no idea what the issue was, a combination of taking it out trying to strip some of it and clean it but finding nothing obvious, using lots of PTFE penetrant spray everywhere and putting it back on has done something and she came back to life
I've yoked her onto the mower and the PTO switch was kaput it's been a period of reactive maintenance on the old girl.
Got it working last night but was a bit late to get anything done with her.
Maybe next year I'll be more prepared.

The stuff we get back, comes straight out of the mixer bucket as long as he doesn’t use a mixer should be ok

I normally do use the tractor alot more but this year been so busy it's sat for a few months and not turned a wheel.
It's more of a lifestyle tractor but it turns out I don't have a good lifestyle
