Just popped down my local petrol station to fill a 200 litre drum with diesel and 60 litres of petrol cans. I have plenty of diesel in the bulk tank (now securely locked and power isolated) but a little more forward buying never hurts- especially with petrol as I can't get that in bulk. I'll fill some red 10l diesel cans tomorrow with petrol instead.
The derv cost me 145p per litre plus VAT from the petrol station. It was costing me 119p per litre with my last bulk tank fill in February. So it's up 26 pence per litre, which frankly isn't terrible.
I'll see what it'll cost me tomorrow to order a fill of red and derv for the bulk tanks. The red gauge isn't very accurate and having dipped it there's considerably less there than I thought. Even more miffed now that they didn't top it off properly last time as I asked- I said via email 'fill tanks please, probably around 1000l in each'.They just put 1000 in each.
