Just popped down my local petrol station to fill a 200 litre drum with diesel and 60 litres of petrol cans. I have plenty of diesel in the bulk tank (now securely locked and power isolated) but a little more forward buying never hurts- especially with petrol as I can't get that in bulk. I'll fill some red 10l diesel cans tomorrow with petrol instead.

The derv cost me 145p per litre plus VAT from the petrol station. It was costing me 119p per litre with my last bulk tank fill in February. So it's up 26 pence per litre, which frankly isn't terrible.

I'll see what it'll cost me tomorrow to order a fill of red and derv for the bulk tanks. The red gauge isn't very accurate and having dipped it there's considerably less there than I thought. Even more miffed now that they didn't top it off properly last time as I asked- I said via email 'fill tanks please, probably around 1000l in each'.They just put 1000 in each.

Yeah it doesn't seem much but it's still 50quid. Or another M18 battery 😑

As mentioned in other thread, insulation up 15% on April 1st.. order books to close shortly, I’m just scrabbling to get a big order in by tomrrow, nearly 15k worth of insulation on current job 😣 could do without it being £17250 worth!!

Several garages out round here. Which is annoying because if I can't get any this evening for the machines looks like I'll be having the day off tomorrow!
THAT is annoying

Been driving past few garages lately and ive noticed the smaller independents which are normally dearer are cheaper than the big boys. I think they go thru theirs slower so are selling at the old cheaper rate they bought at. Ive also seen some massive variations 15p I noticed the other day don't usually see that. I see one post online thank god our fuel price is made up mostly of taxes else we would really see a big increase 🤣

I filled up the truck this morning as it was empty, then got in the van 3 hours later which was desperate for diesel so straight to get some and it'd gone up 4ppl....mind still cheaper than the fuel card.
