Shame they're not full of beer instead
Think 1000l of clean copper tube is worth more than a 1000l of beer? Not that it matters to me.. Money goes into the bank and gets divided equally amongst the team . Apprentices will have more money to waste on beer next month!

Not at a London pub price that 1750 pints at a tenner each you would be well away

No way! Have you been to the pub recently?
£3.50 for Guinness in my local social club :) But yes, pubs are dear. I was assuming wholesale prices at 1000l container size :)

do it as well as you can,but learn to do it better
I wish I could work out a way to turn scrap copper into ingots that I could then stow away for my retirement.
£5500 of beer/digger tokens on the trailer yesterday, and one was only half full.
scrap copper is still well up then .. what sort of weight created that level of tokens?

Copper isn’t that great at the moment but no signs of it getting better. My buyer has been unwilling to take it for last 18 months so we ended up with a lot backed up . We usually have about £6-7K of scrap a year and I like to see it gone very regularly as I’m always wary of some pikey helping themselves. Will keep it gone more regularly in future.

What sort of price do you call great? :geek:
Weighed a load of non ferris in last week and got these prices per tonne pro rata from the dealer:
Heavy copper £5,400
Brass £3,300
Copper tanks £45
Did that with my 14 year old grandson Jack, teaching him the value of scrap metal.
He loved it 'cos having handles and sorted it all for me I gave him 50%
So our small pickup truck load paid for a tank of diesel and an ice cream each :giggle:
