and this is why Rob Taylor said to me many years ago ... never work side on to a hole - always square on, so's you stand a chance of getting the flock out o' there

I turned up at this compound to gather a load of boulders from a pile ready for the lorry to collect next week. Compound is full of cars and trailers from other works going on and lorry wouldnt have got to the pile- so had to sneak them out of the compound 1 at a time (sometimes 2!) about 100 meters each way. Duck was flippin ace just turn up and had it done in under an hour, no messing with trailers or painfully slow tracking one boulder out at a time (or dumper etc)

Seems daft on the face of it , but it might be cruel to call it natural selection, could be lack of experience 😕

brave ... get down to the diff casings and it gets interesting/exciting
Certainly more cautious then on tracks! Of course the biggest problem with pulling your self around I'm finding is maintaining the balance between using the traction of the wheels combined with a bucket pull/push. Obviously as soon as a wheel is free/lifted slightly the power all goes to it and it's of no help at all few times when it was spinning badly I found it easier just to pivot myself sideways onto new ground- do the front first, swing round and hop the rear over too a bucket pull is only as good as the ground your pulling at😬. I'll get there but rest assured when I get really bogged you'll see it on here first.🤣

A few different jobs for Ducky today. First I forgot to take a photo but was rock up and widen an approach for lorries to get in for next week's job- love turning up and getting straight into it with out the trailer etc.
2nd job was to prep fence line for fencers- remove and roll up old netting, and level it off old spoil heaps so they could get there tracked machine to the fenceline- retrieved some nice bits of firewood from over the wall too!
I've done more in the last week than I did all year with the Case

That's when you know it was a good decision.
It was definitely the right decision. But so far I've only done stuff around the village, haven't ventured more than a few miles. Tbh though I've already thoughts of it's upgrade🤦 not that there's anything really wrong with mine it's just old and high houred and does slightly scare me going too far from home in case something happens. It's just the cost of something fresher that's not so appealing!

It's definitely going to die by about November. Make sure you sell it to me by October.....
