" In the wake of this year's cyber attack spree, the government has issued a stark warning to UK businesses...

With increased attacks leaving significant marks on key UK businesses, the NCSC is now urging CEOs to 'have plans on paper in case of attacks' - So what exactly does this mean, and what should you put on paper?

The BBC and Telegraph have both recently echoed the NCSC's message of pen and paper as a crucial play as attacks surge. "
So let's all sign up for .govs new site that doesn't have a f****ng safety certificate and was part built in Romania by people who didn't even have security clearance on open work stations. f****ng clueless they are

Guardian so likely not untrue - but who knows. I am on a lot of groups with ASHP installers and they are all weeping into their cornflakes! Lots of installers have switched their business model to installing ASHP as its being pushed hard. Will be a kick in the teeth for them.

Wait and see. I don’t think I have ever seen so many ideas floated about pre budget. The desperation stinks!! Yet no sense that we are spending too much!! I watched Question Time last night and the left wing idiot thinks a wealth tax will save us all!! It was good to see a very old Ken Clarke having a say although some would say he is too liberal for right wing politics.
Spend within your means and you shall lead a happy life!!

They have kicked out a lot more failed asylum seekers than the last lot.. but no one likes talking about that 🤣
Also actually started counting what’s coming in as well which has made Incoming numbers worse than they were reported before .
Not looking out for small business or farming communities so not doing me any good at all, however not as much a shower of s**t as the media would have you believe. At least they are some what getting on with the job compared to the last lot flailing around. The thing to realise is that most of on here don’t actually represent the majority in this country.
Most people who chose to operate plant or run a business are a special breed :)

Who on benefits or with a serious health condition is actively seeking an ASHP? There’s a bloke near me on all the local Facebook groups offering “free” boiler replacements if you have/receive X/Y/Z. It’s like giving them a pot of cash and telling them to spend it all wherever you can 🤬

Eco4 scheme offers solar PV and Building Insulation and ASHP all as a package. One of my customers cancelled a oil boiler replacement as she managed to end up with 80ks worth of free work on her 1990s barn conversion. I know she has a decent lump of inheritance headed her way soon. Good to know our tax payer money is going to good causes ....

" The ECO levy funds energy-efficiency schemes for low-income homes, such as insulation and new, more energy-efficient boilers. To qualify, homeowners need to live in houses with poor efficiency ratings and either receive a household income of under £31,000, receive certain benefits or have long-term health conditions. "

well I can tick three out of four but I'm not 'potless', so no chance ..... According to some BS mail shot this week my house is an E on the EPC scale, even though it's double glazed throughout and has 10+" of loft insulation - 'tis solid stone walls though  .. between 18 and 24" thick

You can go online to check your EPC register. E isn’t that bad . A is basically passivhaus and unachievable for most properties.

Solid stone walls are not that insulating though. They have low thermal resistance so the heat creeps out easily enough.

Edit/ just googled. Apparently 500mm of stone is equivalent to around 15mm of rockwool! 😳

Basically we are fine all the time the fire is on as the walls hold the heat for a little longer. But takes a few days to heat up from cold.

that was my point ... the stone walls aren't and can't be insulated  but once warm do hold on to it

Bought shares in Rolls Royce the other day. Probably missed the best of their rise if you'd put £10k with them in 2022 you'd have over £100k now. Reckon still a good company to be with going forward though...
