Assuming it's us gallons so 120 UK gallons that's 618 litres an hourView attachment 34366 that's 150 gallons / hour .... sound about right ???? still utterly ridiculous whatever its consumption .... green be ****ed
A 200hp tractor can hit over 50 litres an hour if worked hard
Looking up that shovel it's 1700hp
So it's possible it could get there

There is very little green about these electric cars. From manufacture to disposal. It may make more sense if we had the infrastructure to recharge them. It may make more sense if the vehicles they replaced were recycled rather than continue to operate in another country. All we are doing by going down this path is giving the emerging nations that don’t adhere to the same green policies an economic leg up imo

Cat’s figures for a 994 on a heavy duty cycle, up to 52 US gallons an hour. Or just over 600 in 12 hours. I know which numbers I trust.

Depends how sharp the truck drivers are - as big as they are they still have tipper drivers in the cab.
What machine is it, what condition is it in and how accurate is your fuel measurement? A lot of meters on bowsers and tanks are no more accurate than measuring with a tin bucket.
Cat will have got those figures from thousands of test hours at Tinaja Hills in a mixture of sand and hard rock, loading their own trucks on test. Someone might beat the numbers by a small amount in a particular application (done it myself) with a worn engine, but certainly not by a factor of three. An engine burning that much excess fuel wouldn’t last long, and for sure the after treatment wouldn’t.

so it shifts enough 'dirt' to create the minerals required for 20 Tesla batteries, in an hour, if their figures're right then .... and Bri ought to know what its optimal fuel consumption is in 12 hrs ...... still a ludicrous use of fuel, aside from the carbon cost of producing the C@T in the first place

7 times .....checked up some place else,guys using them reckon on 70gl hour max on 994K n about 5 GL less an hour on H series,I'm quite surprised tbh

It’s a bit hard to argue with what people post when you don’t know how the numbers were obtained, but I only trust numbers where it’s been properly measured against running hours, and on the internet that isn’t easy to find.

Just bought an e-NV200 as a run about to try and make my Ranger last until I retire. It is like driving a go cart, really weird. Had a bit of a ding in the rear so got it for just under a third of book value. Luckily I know a man who can sort it for a couple of thousand.
