Disposable electric cars to save the planet.
The irony is incomprehensible.
I still don't believe for a second that the published full life emissions of cars are entirely honest.
It's not even like the fuel economy is that much better than in the past. How can it possibly be more environmentally friendly to landfill a car <10 years old over one that runs for 30 years.

If anyone understands half hourly meters they'll know that having 4x 22kw car chargers means you are deffo likely to be on half hourly...
So one site is £350 pm before youve even plugged a car in! Runs one Tesla from there 🤣🤣🤣
Companies are being royally screwed ...there's so many costs that aren't discussed. Oh and the chargers dont last for ever. Just swapped one that wasn't much over 5 years old...corroded and knackered to buggerey. Plus H&S now saying they have to be serviced annually and another site I know insurance tried to make them rip out 10 double chargers and move them to other side of carpark away from building....

But of course you hear none of this.

Another ridiculous factor.
Went into farnboroughs brand new shiny jewsons today (very nice even has a self service coffee shop with rustic wooden tables and seating)

8 carparking spaces outside.
2 are disabled and 2 are EV charging points. Right outside the front door.
Did anyone think about this at all, and really think it made any sense at all.

My fun day yesterday..
So the day came when new cars with no spare wheel wasted most of my day..
Wife set off round M25 in the elec Cupra. Puncture near J20.
So i set off in 20yr old slk with a trolley jack and the spacesaver from my old Audi a3.
Arrive one hour later, the motorway wombles have arrived. They wont let me change wheel, they want me to limp off next junction
to a layby.
Changed the wheel and thankfully it fits.So mrs continues journey in the merc, i drive home slowly..
Tomorrow will be spent in quickfit all day i suppose as its the only place we are allowed to go to.
Its called progress i suppose.:)

Both rear tyres on limit, £225 ea +vat.

Tyres are specific to these type of cars and only continental are approved.

Wonder what cheap s**t ditchfinders will get fitted to these elec things when the warranty is done.Handling aint all that with premium tyres.. (y)

do it as well as you can,but learn to do it better
interesting...

" In essence this COULD mean that all finance commissions paid to car dealers are owed back to the customer "

there will be some seriously worried dealers out there too, let alone finance houses ... could/would put a lot through  .... to say nothng of the anger generated by the ''This is the best deal we can give you" spiel, only to find they're creaming a percentage of your hard earned for the pleasure of burying you in debt

this will be one to watch, going forward

Good news for us and also good news for Bio/ Synthetic fuel promotion is that next year the British Touring Cars championship has dropped having hybrid cars racing they are all going to be normal engines running 100% sustainable fuel in all cars on the grid, incidently they used sutainable fuels at the goodwood revival this year. None of the cars required any kind of modification or adjustment. The more this is promoted the more chance we have at seeing it at the pumps its down to the public to demand it. At least least this should reach mainstream news and help alert everyone that there is a perfectly viable alternative that we can swap over too rather than being forced to have an electric car.

I would imagine the capital cost and infrastructure is not there. Cheaper to stay with diesel!!
It is all a hoax anyway so good to see some sense return when it comes to spending other people’s money
our LA ran LPG vehicles for a few years and spent multiple thousands on installing a Hydrogen refuelling station in the most ludicrous of places in the town, just outside my old yard (pushed through planning VERY quietly, for some outfit in mid Wales, developing an H2 vehicle to refuel to get home), so they have no excuses when it comes to renewing fleets
